August Message

It has been a great summer as we walked through the entire book of Galatians in the sermon series “Amazing Grace”.  When we dive into God’s Holy Word we find ourselves blessed and full of hope. I hope you will join us for the new series “Learning to Walk with Jesus”, beginning in September.  We all need to re-energize and re-new our spirits, and our time in worship is vital to our growth and fellowship.

I encourage you to attend one of our Bible Studies and continue to grow in your faith.  We have Sunday Bible studies for all ages.  Wednesday morning, we have an adult Bible Study at 9 AM and beginning on Wednesday, September 22nd, I will be having an evening Bible Study here at the church from 6:30 to 7:30 in the Cornerstone Room.  So, grab your Bibles and let all grow in our faith by attending one of these studies.

Many thanks to Jason, Angie and Peggy Chadd for organizing our backpack giveaway.  This year 263 back packs were filled with school supplies.  On the morning of August 7th, they all went out in less than 30 minutes.  This reveals a real need in our community that is being met by our church.  GREAT JOB!!!

I was so excited to see 10 of our Awana leaders attend the Awana training conference in August.  We are set to start up on Wednesday, September 8th and would very much appreciate your prayers and support for this amazing children’s ministry.

The Chest of Joash is back to help us complete phase two, that targets our new playground and a new sound board in the sanctuary. I invite your prayers and support for this effort to encourage young families to come to our church.

If you get a chance, please welcome new members Pete and Lois Chavez, Juanita Nulik, and Willetta Whitehead to our loving fellowship.

I will close with Paul’s ending to his letter to the Galatian churches.

“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

Galatians 6:18

Your friend in Christ,
