November Message

November…a time of Thanksgiving! November…a time to re-access! November…a time to literally count each and every blessing!

Get out your note pads and begin to write and by the time we reach Thanksgiving Sunday, we should be done counting. Right? I have two challenges for you in the month of November.Bring the blessings that you have written down so far to our Thanksgiving Sunday service and present them to God at the table of our Lord, the giver of all blessings.

  • Bring the blessings that you have written down so far to our Thanksgiving Sunday service and present them to God at the table of our Lord, the giver of all blessings.
  • If we reach 80 people at any service during the month of November, I will take a pie to the face!

Okay, back to November. Our temperatures are dropping, as usual, and we must remember our homeless population during these times. November 6th is our opportunity to assist Ronnie Lewis with the feeding of the homeless downtown. Any way you can support this effort is appreciated. You can give monetarily, bring supplies to the church for us to take down with us, or you can go downtown on the morning of the 6th. As we count our blessings, we must remember those who are less fortunate and act on our Christian belief.

Please remember to pray for our church, our leaders and our 2022 budget. God is calling us to achieve even greater things for Him in 2022. We pray for healing from the Covid-19 pandemic and that our normal gatherings will resume and fellowship events will be common again. Pray that our nursing homes and hospitals can return to normal status. Pray overall that God’s will be done here at First Christian Church in Haysville.

As we approach our 2021 Advent season, let us prepare our hearts, anticipating the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The most incredible gift of all time!

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His faithful love endures forever.”

Psalm 107:1

Your friend in Christ,
