Happy 2022! January message

Happy New Year!

As I look back at 2021, I am so thankful for our loving church and all that you have accomplished in service to our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s an exciting time to be church! We have our new leaders in place and a building that continues to serve us well. Many thanks to all of you who have shown outstanding stewardship of all we have been trusted with.

AWANA is off to a great start! We have had a high of 17 kids on a Wednesday night and 16 adult leaders that make that all happen. The food is great at meal time and our building is buzzing with activity. The memory verses are being accomplished every week and game time is fun for all. The worship that is led by the kids is something to behold and we welcome all of you to come and participate at 7:45 each AWANA night. My thanks go out to all of our leaders and helpers, as it takes all of us together to make this a successful ministry and honor God. What a loving church!

The homeless ministry has had an incredible year with the meals being delivered in downtown Wichita. Again, it takes a number of workers to help prepare those sack lunches to deliver them when it’s our turn to be a blessing. In addition, when Ronnie and Pat take the breakfast down and hand out bags of goodies, I have learned that many of our members are meeting them downtown and participating in blessing the homeless in our community. What a loving church!

When tornados ravaged Kentucky and many other communities recently, FCC remembers and never forgets the trauma that occurred when our church was blown away. Yes, we respond with both prayers and monetary gifts to help restore those people’s lives. What a loving church!

The good news is…I could go on and on about the kindness of this body of believers accomplished in 2021. We have all new lighting throughout our building that saves us so much in energy costs. We have a new Playground for our children that is simply amazing! Whether its backpacks for our community or Christmas gifts for the poor, FCC is making a difference in our community! What a loving church!

So, keep up the good work in 2022 and may God richly bless us in the New Year as we seek to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Your friend in Christ,
Greg
