February has arrived and provides many opportunities to participate in the life of the church. From Bible studies to new groups forming, I believe everyone can discover their place here at First Christian Church in Haysville.
First, the new Disciple Women’s Group will meet on February 26th here at the church. This is a new group that is forming and all women are encouraged to come and enjoy this fellowship.
The Disciple Men are having a men’s breakfast on February 19th here at the church and all men of the church are welcome. Lyle Sherbon has again agreed to cook for us and it is sure to be a great time of fellowship.
Our AWANA club continues to grow with 21 registered kids and counting. I am so thankful for our devoted leaders that help make Wednesday nights possible. We have some volunteers coming in early to prepare the rooms and some preparing to feed everyone. We have teachers and leaders that prepared well to make every AWANA night, awesome! In all we have 16 adult leaders that make possible the Gospel of Christ entering into the hearts of our children. If you would like to help with AWANA please let Dinah know.
I have decided to start a new class down the hall from the Cornerstone room. It will be on Sunday mornings at 9:30am (Wednesday night did not work for me due to my commitment to AWANA). This is simply another way to study God’s Word and enjoy our fellowship together.
We have so many opportunities to come together and enjoy the strengthening fellowship that God wants for every believer.
